Brazilian Rainbow Boa

Brazilian rainbow boas are becoming a favourite among snake keepers due to their attractive iridescence caused by microscopic ridges on their scales that create a rainbow glow when they reflect light. Although they get up to 7ft they are quite slender bodied. Youngsters can be nervous and will occasionally bite but regular handling will stop this behaviour.
