Beak Trimming

Over time, a tortoise’s beak can become overgrown if not properly maintained. To help keep your tortoise’s beak in good condition, provide items to chew on, such as calcium blocks or cuttlefish bone. Chewing these, along with harder foods, helps naturally trim the beak.

If you’re unsure whether your tortoise’s beak needs attention, bring them in for a free assessment. If trimming is required, we can do this for a fee of £5.00 per animal. Please note that in some cases, we may not be able to trim the beak safely, and veterinary assistance may be necessary.
