KBN Reptiles Record Journals
Better records. Better understanding.
Better care.
Designed, written and created by Katie herself, our KBN Reptiles Record Journals were developed to make keeping track of your pet's care that little bit easier. Each book includes 12 months of record keeping, useful information and a selection of stickers, giving you a simple and organised way to keep everything about your pet in one place.
When you're caring for an animal every day, it's surprisingly easy to forget exactly when they last shed, what they weighed six months ago, when their UVB was changed or whether their feeding habits have gradually changed.
That's why we created the KBN Reptiles Record Journals.
Our journals provide an easy way to keep important information about your reptile together in one place, helping you monitor their care, recognise patterns and keep track of those little details that can easily be forgotten.
Keeping accurate records isn't just useful for breeders or large collections – it can be incredibly valuable for every reptile keeper.
Recording your animal's feeding, weight, shedding and other important information allows you to look back over time and notice changes that might otherwise go unnoticed.
For example, has your snake gradually started refusing more meals than usual? Has your tortoise's weight changed? When exactly was that UVB lamp fitted? How frequently has your reptile been shedding?
Rather than trying to remember, you can simply check your records.
Good record keeping can also provide valuable information if you ever have concerns about your animal's health. Being able to provide a history of weights, feeding, shedding and other changes may help you explain what has been happening when speaking to us or your reptile vet.
Why Keep Records?
Our journals have been designed specifically with reptile keeping in mind. Rather than using a generic notebook or trying to keep track of information on scraps of paper, everything has its own place, making your records easy to complete and refer back to when needed.
We have created different journals for different types of reptiles, so you can record information that's actually relevant to the animals you keep.
Whether you have your first reptile
or an entire collection, keeping
good records is a simple habit that
can make a real difference to how
well you understand your animals.
Designed by Reptile Keepers, for Reptile Keepers
Reptile care involves much more than remembering when your animal last ate. Keeping everything together gives you a useful history of your animal and their care throughout the year.
It can also help you stay on top of routine jobs and important dates, rather than relying on memory alone.
More Than Just Feeding Records
A Record of Their Journey
Your journal doesn't just have to be a practical tool. Over time, it becomes a record of your pet's life – from their first weigh-in and feeding records to sheds, growth and all the milestones along the way.
Looking back through several months of records can show you just how much your animal has grown and changed.
Perfect for New & Experienced Keepers
For new reptile keepers, a journal can help establish good husbandry habits from the very beginning.
For experienced keepers and those with multiple animals, journals provide an organised way to keep individual records without trying to remember everything yourself.
They're also a great gift for reptile enthusiasts – particularly someone preparing to bring home their first reptile.
